All of a sudden, there was this huge presence in my head, and he was like, “My name is Wroth….” Which made no sense. Then after two weeks of thinking, I was out of the job I love and would maybe never get to do again, I tried writing some romantic suspense.
So, after I was fired, I had to reinvent myself. I started by thinking, I’d write like Nora Roberts, but the problem is, Nora Roberts writes like Nora Roberts already.
